Looking back at last Saturday’s Multicultural Picnic, which took place at the Beach Haven, we have nothing but fondest memories. A trash smash! Both our own trash-and-tool–laden stand and those of other Kraków-based foundations were besieged by youngsters eagerly inquiring: “What now? What now?” The plan was to work on sea creatures and sailing boats, yet once these young creative forces took over, we stood aside and watched this river flow down its sweeping meanders.
A resolute-looking 5-year-old girl quipped: “I’ve never done this before! Trash all around! The way to go… “
It was truly uplifting to see kids and parents creating something out of nothing…
